Anti Aging Skin Care Treatments Reviewed

Whilst any anti aging skin care treatment will work best when we nourish the inside of our body as well, there are several products that work extremely well.

These are Cellex-C, Strivectin-SD, MD Forte, and Kinerase products. These anti aging skin care treatment products use different active ingredients, and some can be used in combination.

Cellex-C

Cellex-C was designed by dermatologists, and the Advanced Serum gets very good reviews. The only exceptions were people who found it a bit irritating, and vitamin C products with strong concentrations can be for those with more sensitive skin. Cellex-C advanced serum contains 10% vitamin C.

Keep the lid tightly closed, and keep the bottle in a dark place, as Cellex-C can lose it's potency when exposed to air due to it oxidising. That's why it comes in a dark bottle - to keep the light out, which is also oxidising.

Cellex-C Advanced Serum is generally given very positive reviews. Some women with oilier skin find they don't need to use a moisturiser, but it is a treatment serum only, so you will generally have to use a moisturiser with it.

Cellex-C has helped some women reduce their acne breakouts, as well as improving inflammation. Generally, it makes skin appear firmer, reduce the appearnace of wrinkles, and even skin tone. It takes about 6 to 8 weeks to get the full benefit. It isn't recommended for use under the eyes area however.

Strivectin-SD

Strivectin was originally designed as a stretch mark cream to reduce the depth, length and discoloration of stretch marks, and was scientifically proven to do so. But it has been found to be efective also at reducing the fine lines of aging. Not the very deep lines that cosmetic procedures like Botox address, but crows feet and other fine lines, taking about 10 to 15 years off your appearance. It takes about 45 days to see results, and is very popular.

Strivetin is very concentrated, and applies well. The tube will last a long time.

Both men and women have reported positive results with Strivectin, in helping with old keyloid scars, and with helping a fresh wound heal (though it cannot be applied to open wounds or broken skin - manuka honey with active UMF is excellent for that). It should be applied 3 times a day to see good results. It softens the skin, and evens out skin tone as well, as reported by many users. Some people will find it moisturising enough for them, though it is not intended to be a moisturiser.

Kinerase

anti aging skin care treatments reviewedKinetin is actually another name for the active ingredient N-6 furfuryladenine, which is a rather cumbersome technical name!

Basically kinetin is a natural ingredient that is found in both plant DNA and human DNA. It is a derivative of one of the nucleic acid bases in this DNA.

Scientists aren't exactly sure how kinetin works, but there is evidence that it is an antioxidant and works in processing cellular signals.

Kinerase has the highest concentrations of kinetin in over the counter formulations. It was developed with dermatologists, and is great for people who find retinol (vitamin A) and strong vitamin C products (like Cellex-C), a bit irritating.

It helps:

  • reduces wrinkles and fine lines
  • with pigmentation and roughened skin
  • it increases the ability of the skin to hold moisture

Kinerase can be used on people of all ages. It's good for those suffering from eczema, roascea and dermnatitis because it's very gentle. And it works well for those with sensitive skin. Kinerase can be used with retinol, but in and of itself, it does not cause sensitivity to the sun.

MD Forte

MD Forte offers premium glycolic acid products, which may be too strong for some people. They're good for acne and oily skin, but not if your skin is sensitive. The range gets very good reviews, with women able to control their breakouts, even out skin tone, and minimize pores. The products are very concentrated, so good value for money, especially considering it's effectiveness. MD Forte gets strong recommendations from dermatologists as part of a long term, home care plan.
