This anti-inflammatory herb is used in TCM to expel
wind-heat. It is an Exterior releasing herb that is
also used for cases of liver qi stagnation, with
symptoms including stress.

Job's tears (Semen Coicis)
Job's Tears also expels wind dampness, clears damp
heat, and eliminates dampness that causes joint or
muscle pain

Cnidium (Rhizoma Ligustici
Chuanxiong)
Cnidium quickens the Blood and moves Qi. It removes
Blood stasis, expels wind and relieves pain. It is
used where there is blood stagnation with Blood
deficiency and symptoms including fixed pain; or
where there are blockages due to wind dampness and
qi stagnation where pain is also a symptom.

Cinnamon (Ramulus
Cinnamomi)
Cinnamon releases exterior wind-cold, warms the
meridians and transforms the qi, where there is
trauma or painful obstructions

Blue atractylodes (Rhizoma
Atractylodis)
This herb expels wind dampness, releases the
Exterior and is used in formulas for arthritis of
wind-dampness type
