What Are Gingko Biloba Uses?

Gingko biloba uses include treatment of: cerebral insufficiency, improvement in short term memory, improvement in long distance vision where problems are associated with macular degeneration. Relief of impotence due to poor blood flow, tinnitus, and intermittent claudication (Fisher & Painter, Materia Medica of Western Herbs).

There have been clinical trials demonstrating gingko biloba uses in the above. It is also proven to have an antibacterial effect, as well as protect against problems arising from excess noise. Great news if you're in a band or your teenage son is!

Gingko biloba uses extend to the cardiovascular tract. This covers such problems as venous and peripheral vascular insufficiency, vertigo, depression with poor attention, cerebral odema, a preventative for strokes and ischemic heart disease, diabetic peripheral vascular disease, cerebral vascular insufficiency and associated tinnitus, headaches, short term memory loss, dementia, acute cochlear deafness and Raynaud's syndrome.

Other gingko biloba uses include for the respiratory tract - for asthma. And the reproductive tract - there has been reported less swelling associated with the menstrual cycle when gingko is used.
