Overview of Info on the Atkins Diet
There's a lot of info on the atkins diet, and so much of it seems one sided. The atkins diet does work for weight loss, there's no doubt about that. And those who have successfully followed it, lost weight and feel good sing atkins' praises to the high heavens.
And some studies have shown that for at least the first 3 to 6 months, the results are very positive.
After a year, however, those results tend to even out. There are serious concerns about following the atkins diet long term, however. And there have been no studies to assess that.
If you're someone who likes to get all their nutrients from food and not rely on supplemented vitamins, then you won't like this diet. Especially during the first phase, the induction phase, you will have to use vitamins.
